A word from our administrator…

 

On January 8, 1953, little did we know what was in store for our small, but wonderful hospital.  On that day, Dr C. M. Dorrough, Jr. was one of our doctors on staff here at North Sunflower Medical Center when he brought me into this world.  I have since been drawn here to put back what this community has given me.  I can truly say the spirit and morale of our employees here has definitely rubbed off on to our patients.  As we have grown and extended our services in the last year, we shall continue to grow and add more specialty clinics, doctors and services. 

            We at NSMC have many things to be proud of with our 60 bed Walter B. Crook Nursing Facility; a fast growing home health agency that is rated in the top 8% of over 7,500 home health agencies in the country; a clinic that provides care 18 hours a day, seven days a week; state of the are digital CT & X-ray, a senior care unit that provides excellent physiocological care; full time therapy team that provides a high level of care to our patients; swingbed unit that delivers the utmost care and rehabilitation, along with excellent acute care.

As we continue to grow and strengthen our services in the upcoming months, you will be hearing more positive things at NSMC in providing you, our community, with better healthcare.
